Financial Analyst

The analyst is an integral member of the Finance and Acquisition team that is responsible for preparation of accurate and detailed financial analysis in support of a broad range of real estate investment activities.  Analyst will primarily work on large scale residential, office and retail developments in NYC and Washington D.C. 


  • Create and maintain financial models and reports to provide insight into asset and portfolio level performance
  • Prepare property and portfolio level cash flows using ARGUS and Excel software
  • Calculate various return and key performance metrics (NPV, IRR, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Finance and Acquisition group to prepare JV and loan request packages to various investment partners and lenders
  • Assist in due diligence process for new acquisitions and financings
  • Assist management with developing asset, market, financing and sale assumptions
  • Collect and maintain a data base of market and property level research information through various online sources
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed to help improve the evaluation of an investment



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
  • At least two years of real estate analytical/transactional experience on office, retail and/or multifamily projects. Appraisal background a plus
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; Argus experience is essential
  • Ability to model and explain various return and performance metrics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills required.
  • Understanding of NYC real estate tax abatement programs (421-a, ANYH); understanding of affordable housing and rent stabilization laws a plus
  • Ability to work with all levels of a multi-faceted development company
  • Motivated to work under tight deadlines
  • Independent decision-making skills
